Pathways is our faith formation time on Sunday mornings for all ages.  Our lives get shaped and formed by many different influences and forces.  Tending to the formation of our faith and the faith of our children is one of the most important things we do in the church.  Pathways is one of the ways we focus on faith formation at Pioneer.

Everyone is invited to join us at the Signpost at 9:00am on Sunday mornings for food and fellowship, followed by group studies and experiences to help shape and form our faith:

Nursery for newborns through 35 months

Preschool - Kindergarten

1st and 2nd grade

3rd and 4th grade

Tween Team for 5th and 6th grade

re:form for 7th through 12th grade

Pathways is not just for children and youth at Pioneer.  Our adult faith formation groups will begin on September 12 with a variety of offerings planned for the coming year.

SUNDAY FORUM

9:00am - Fellowship Hall

The Sunday Forum will kick off the new year with several different study topics.  Bible 101 will include some basic skills for becoming a “Biblical scholar” in a few easy steps as we study the Gospel of Mark.  Bible 201 will take us to a deeper level of being shaped and formed by the scriptures.  A Current Events series will challenge us to hold the Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other.  And finally, a Spiritual Practices series will invite us to engage in “practices” that nourish and deepen our faith.

REST STOP ON THE PATHWAY – JUST FOR PARENTS

9:00am – Room 1

During the month of September join other parents for a chance to reflect, rest, ponder, and pray for a few minutes on Sunday mornings.  We will gather at the Sign Post at 9:00am to help our children get to their classes, grab a cup of coffee, and join together in Room 1 (across from the church office) for informally guided conversation with Kerri.  It’s about being together with other parents, sharing about the spiritual lives of our children, and simply having a place to rest together on the pathway.

NEW MEMBERS SEMINARS

October 3, 10, 17 at 9:00am – Choir Room

Many people know after just a few visits that they want to make Pioneer their church home.  Others participate in the life of the church for several years before they decide to “join” the church.  This three week seminar is a chance to learn more about Pioneer, the Presbyterian Church (USA), and what it means to be a member of the church as we explore our journeys of faith with other inquirers.  All are welcome.
