The first two week track gives a great overview of Jesus and uses at least two chapters from each of the four gospels. Confirmands are encouraged to read the chapter listed below each day. For EACH chapter Neil is inviting the 8th graders to:
1) Write down a word or phrase from the chapter that jumps out at them.
2) Make a note of something they want to learn more about. A word, an object, a place, that they can then go look up themselves.
3) Write down a question the chapter makes them wonder about and ask someone else (parent, confirmation teacher, church staff, member of the congregation their thoughts) to start discussion. For instance, "Why does Jesus like to answer disciples' questions, with another question or a parable?"
