Akron Rubber Ducks – July 24
Join Pioneer family and friends to enjoy fellowship and baseball as we gather in block seating, reserved for us, to watch the Akron Rubber Ducks, a Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, at 717 Credit Union Park (formerly Canal Park), 300 South Main Street in Akron, as they take on the Altoona Curve. First pitch is at 7:17p.m. It is Akron Cream Stick Donuts Night and Electric Blue Friday. Steps down and up from our seating are minimal, and none at all in the handicap row, which includes spacing for wheelchairs, rollators, scooters and more. Food to purchase at the ballpark is very near our seating. Note that the purchase of food, and of anything else, is cashless. You must use a credit or debit card.
Our ticket cost for the game (and fireworks after) is $15, which is almost half price. A ticket must be purchased for each person, except for children age 3 and younger who are free if they sit in the lap of an accompanying adult. Ticket purchasing following worship in Fellowship Hall during Coffee Fellowship and continues through July 5 or when all tickets are sold, whichever comes first. If purchasing tickets in Fellowship Hall does not work for you, or you have questions, please contact Bob Fleming [rbtflem@windstream.net] (440-543-4637) or the church office (440- 248-5260) [office@pioneersolon.org].
