Sunday Morning Worship
As disciples of Jesus Christ we are committed to learning, living, sharing and celebrating God’s Word.
What can I expect when I visit Pioneer on Sunday morning? For those familiar with Presbyterian worship, it will feel like you’re coming home. You’ll have some of the great hymns of our faith, excellent preaching, a great choir, and celebration of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. Sometimes we sing with guitars as well as piano and organ. We hear messages that keep us awake and that relate to our lives, and we laugh together a lot. Worship is meaningful, joyful, relevant, and focused on God.
Nestled in the woods behind the church, Pioneer has a beautiful outdoor worship area. We gather for Sunday morning worship in this peaceful setting at least twice every summer. We also have special youth group vespers, evening services, and even weddings in the outdoor worship area.
The Chancel Choir (high school and adult) welcomes all singers to lead the congregation in worship on Sunday mornings. The choir sings a broad repertoire of music, seeking to glorify God and engage the congregation in their worship together. In addition to making great music, the members of the choir enjoy great fellowship and lots of fun together!
